Dinosaur Newborn Session

You might be thinking…wait, did I read that right? DINOSAUR?? And the answer is yes. You’ll soon see why I added that little surprising word in there, but it comes from Charleston’s big brother, Ryder. When I first came into his home, he was a little skeptical of me. He was quiet and shy and ran in the opposite direction when I asked him about his cute Olaf pjs. But, then. Then, it became a dinosaur newborn session because Ryder is totally obsessed with dinosaurs in the coolest of all ways.

As Alison was feeding Charleston and prepping her for her model time with me, Ryder took me to his play room. He started pointing out all the dinosaurs and telling me their names. I cannot even repeat them all, but the ones I knew were T-rex, Stegosaurus, Triceratops, Velociraptor, and Brachiosaurus. Not only did he know an unlimited amount of names of dinosaurs, but he also knew what they ate, how big they were, and what their different defense mechanisms were called. It was incredible. Honestly. Plus, this boy had the biggest heart and just adored his baby sister, Charleston.

When it came time to get some photos with Charleston, of course his dinosaurs had to make an entrance. These are some of my favorite, most unique dinosaur newborn photos, and I know Charleston is going to appreciate them when she gets bigger. An extra benefit was how it got big brother to cooperate so perfectly.

P.S. I love Charleston’s name SO much. Fun fact…when she was born, there was a Savannah in the next room over also being born at the same time. How cute is that?
