After a bride inquires with me, the next step is to have a quick phone call together. On this phone call is where I quickly became aware of how much Sarah loves Jesus. Sarah and I have very similar ways we live out our faith. We are women who can microscopically see the hand of God working in both our lives and the lives of people around us. We are very transparent about how we see the Lord working and openly share these things in normal conversation. We are the type of believers who like to hold our hands out when we pray and when we worship. We cry easily when we experience the Holy Spirit. I gathered all of this on that very first phone call with Sarah, and when she told me she wanted to work with me, my heart leapt in anticipation for her wedding day. A wedding is as close as we will ever come to gaining even a tiny bit of understanding of the Lord’s love for His church. And on June 10th at Cedar Springs Presbyterian, I witnessed a whole sanctuary full of people get a little better understanding of that as they witnessed Sarah and Hayes make a covenant to one another. It was absolutely beautiful.
Sarah and Hayes spent many moments on their wedding day praying both separately and together. They spent time in scripture together pouring over their marriage. They spent time in worship together as Hayes’s sister lead them in a worship song during the ceremony at Cedar Springs Presbyterian. There is no doubt the Lord used their wedding to enrich His relationship with Sarah, Hayes, and their family and friends. There is no better purpose of a wedding day than that right there, and I am so honored I got to witness it.
Thank you, Sarah and Hayes, for letting me join in on your wedding day. It was so precious, and I cannot wait for you to see the rest of your images!
