Caity and Kaleb’s Castleton Farms wedding was my first back for the season. Every year for the past 6 or 7 years, I’ve had a January wedding. This year I didn’t, and I just know in my bones it’s because God knew I needed a long break for our move. Not to mention Hazel has gone on a sleep strike since she got sick before Thanksgiving. So, this is my first back, and it was so so so great. My first wedding back and my last wedding of the season always seem to be one of my favorites. I don’t know if it’s my giddiness to dive back in or what, but it works this way every year. This year, it happened to be a Castleton Farms wedding. So, the fact that I loved it doesn’t surprise me because I really love every wedding there so much. Their property is just so pretty and all the details are just so amazing.
Caity, Kaleb, and I know a ton of mutual people. It’s a wonder we hadn’t met before they hired me as their wedding photographer. We have mutual family friends, mutual adult friends, my past clients know them, and I found out right before the ceremony that one of my future grooms was actually in Kaleb’s wedding party! I had just grabbed something from the office when I walked out, and this guy said, “Hey, Amanda, my name is Devin. You are taking pictures of my fiancee and I this week.”Wait…whaaaat??? I had never met this couple in person before, and now, the groom is a groomsman in the wedding I’m shooting literally 3 days before I have their engagement session. So cool and such a small world.
It was an absolute honor for Caity and Kaleb to choose me as their wedding photographer. There is so much weight that comes with that title, but I am honestly so proud to wear it for all of my couples. There is literally nothing in the world I would rather do than just this right here. How many people can say that? Not many. So, thank you, guys. Thank you for being so awesome and supporting my small business!
