I love love love this Knoxville wedding venue. There is seriously SO much to offer! For Mike and Allison’s Castleton Farms Engagement Session we spent an early morning together for a sunrise session walking around the grounds and finding gorgeous spot after gorgeous spot. If you’ve ever been to Castleton, you know they have like 543 different spots to get married. But really, it’s at least 6. Of all the spots, my absolute favorite is the vineyard. Just long rows of vines growing in perfectly straight lines and it’s so full and just so so pretty. This is where Allison and Mike are having their rehearsal dinner. The other spot is the barn. This barn is so nice. The stain they used on the wood is gooooorgeous and the grass on the back side of it is the fluffiest, greenest grass I’ve ever seen. In this case, the grass really is greener on the other side. This is where Allison and Mike are getting married. Under a giant arbor that is the same color stain as the barn. Taking these Castleton Farms Engagement Photos got me even more excited for the wedding next June!!!
You’ve seen Allison and Mike before because I got to photograph Mike’s proposal to Allison in Chattanooga on a river boat! I’ve known Allison and her family for a few years when I met them at their cousin’s Charleston wedding in 2015. Then I got to photograph Allison’s sister’s wedding last January. And when we were on the river boat, I kept staring at Mike’s family thinking they looked SO familiar. Well turns out, we actually went to the same church for a looooong time back when I was in middle/high school. Even after all that time and all these events, I haven’t gotten to really know Mike and Allison like I did at their engagement session. I got to see them together just the two of them, all cute and lovey dovey and I have to say, they are SO much fun to photograph. Every time I told them to look at each other (which lets face it, is 3/4 of the session), Allison would start giggling and Mike would get the biggest smile on his face. And this was after they woke up at 5 am to meet me for their sunrise castleton engagement session! There is nothing bad about these two. I just love everything about them!!
