You want to know what one of the most flattery things is to a photographer? When another photographer picks you to photograph their child’s wedding. While we were shooting Meg & Andy’s Cades Cove sunrise session, I can’t remember how it was brought up, but Meg and Andy both shared that their moms are photographers/love taking photos. It made sense because Meg and Andy were both so comfortable in front of my camera even from the very beginning of their Cades Cove sunrise session. Meg shared that her mom used to actually second shoot weddings with other Knoxville photographers and Andy’s mom was constantly taking photos of him growing up. And they chose me. Out of all the photographers. They chose me. They know what they’re looking at and what they’re looking for and what is out there and they picked me. And not for them, they picked me for their child’s wedding. Which is an even bigger deal because if you’re a parent you know what I’m talking about. All the unhealthy food, bad habits, second rated everything is fine for us, but we only want the best for our kids. We sacrifice the best for us so that we can give the best to our kids.
I’m so utterly thankful that Meg & Andy got me to the mountains with them for their Cades Cove sunrise engagement session. It was absolutely beautiful and one of the more clear days that I have had there in awhile! We had a good variety of lighting situations to work with since the sun was blazing, so you might see a few photos that look a bit brighter than normal and I love it!
