Christina and Kevin are from Michigan. They hired me in 2019 before coronavirus and scheduled their wedding for September 2021. At the time, I didn’t have any 2021 weddings past June. They held down the fort solo for a long time. Then, COVID hit, and 2020 weddings started getting postponed. New brides started planning for fall of 2021 in hopes it will be done or normalized by then, and now, my fall 2021 is almost completely booked. It’s crazy. But Christina and Kevin secured their spot before anyone else! Because they are from Michigan, we couldn’t just plan their engagement session for whenever. We had to coordinate it for a time they were in town for other wedding planning festivities. It just so happened the time they planned to be here was our first real rainy stretch in awhile. We already planned to do a sunrise session, but we had to adjust it a day so we had clear skies for their Cades Cove engagement session. Even then, it still spit a little and had heavy clouds, which you’ll see for yourself as you scroll. You know what? They made the most of it, and we had a BLAST. These two are so stinking adorable together, straight up models, and ready for any adventure. Christina was trekking around knee high grass, logs laying over rivers, up on rocks, and through the woods in her gorgeous gown. Kevin woke up at 5:30 in the morning (even though he HATES waking up early and had an 8 hour drive back to Michigan later that day) to be on time for their Cades Cove engagement session. Despite both of those things, they are so sweetly in love and literally up for anything if I thought it made a good picture. So thankful for them and their willingness because holy moly, you guys…I’m loving their Cades Cove engagement session!
