Black Fox Farms Wedding

This is the second wedding I have shot at Black Fox Farms, and both weddings have been AMAZE-balls. The first wedding was for Nikki and Austin a couple years ago, which you can see here. The farm has two different ceremony sites, both of which are stunning. The location that Morgan and Taylor chose was against the little pond with trees lining it. They really could not have timed it more perfectly because the trees were in their peak color and were ridiculously awesome. Just wait until you see the Black Fox Farms ceremony pics below. I love Black Fox Farms and everything they stand for. It’s a Christian-based venue that prides itself in being founded in scripture. They have done a more than amazing job at setting the farm up for beautiful pictures.. I mean, just look below. There were seriously so many spots on the grounds that I couldn’t possibly take photos at them all! I consider that to be a very good problem to have!

I love the relationship Morgan shares with her dad. She was very insistent on having a first look with him, and it ended up being one of my favorite moments of the day. We did it on the front porch of where the girls were getting ready. I lined dad up so that he was facing the parking lot and was placing Morgan behind him when he started to floss. As in the crazy viral dance. I’m going to be completely honest with you when I tell you that I have literally never seen an adult floss. In that moment, I realized that when Morgan told me that her dad was her best friend, she was being 100% serious. He was a best friend type of dad. When she told him to turn around and they saw each other, it was precious. He immediately gave her the biggest hug and told her how gorgeous she was. She proceeded to show him her awesome shoes, and he showed her his socks. At the end of their first look, I stepped inside to tell the bridesmaids to dry off their bouquets, and when I came back out, dad was leading a prayer with Morgan and her mom. It melted my heart. Two of my favorite images from the day were in this moment. You’ll see them below.

On another note, if you saw the post from Morgan and Taylor’s engagement session, you read that Morgan and I volunteered at the same orphanage in Africa. If you didn’t see it, go read it here! I’m not going to rehash the whole story, but I wanted to share. Rose is the founder of the orphanage, and she was able to come to the U.S. to promote Tumaini and to attend Morgan’s wedding. I went to Tumaini years and years ago. I was a sophomore in college when I went. I thought for sure Rose would never remember me. She has had dozens if not hundreds of missionaries serve at her orphanage since then, and she meets new faces all day every day while she is in the states. But when I came up to her at the reception and asked if she remembered me, she said Oh yeah…it was 8 years ago! I honestly did not even remember exactly how long ago it was. We started talking about life, Grayson, and the kids at Tumaini, and it meant the world to me that she remembered me. So impressive. Especially considering that I was in a group of 20 or so, most of which were girls. I will never ever ever forget my time at Tumaini. I hope and pray that one day I will be able to not only take Dustin but also Grayson and any other Fothergill kids with us to show them another part of God’s nations.

If you are looking for an orphan to support, a place to serve on a mission trip, or an organization to volunteer with, I want to point you to 127 Worldwide. The lady I went on the mission trip with is named SaraBeth, and she has started her own non-profit called 127 Worldwide. Dustin and I support a little girl at Tumaini through her, and I am forever thankful for the way that SaraBeth is letting the Lord guide her life and her business. I can’t say enough great things about this woman and her program!
