August Wedding at Castleton Farms
We did their first look andflowed nicely into wedding party photos. When we wrapped up, I was drove them back to the manor to prepare for the ceremony, and Natalie said, “Before I met Joseph, I dreamed of my wedding day being huge. I wanted 400 people there with the biggest dress and glitter and glam everywhere. Then, I met Joseph, and my perspective shifted. I didn’t really care about the grand wedding because I really just wanted to marry him, and that’s all that mattered.” I told her that quote would probably make it into the blog, and here we are. Best quote of the season right there at this August wedding at Castleton Farms. I couldn’t have said it better myself. Having a pretty wedding is incredible. Especially when I get to photograph it. I love all the pretty things. But ultimately, the pretty things mean nothing if you aren’t marrying the person you love. If it comes a terrible rainstorm all over your outdoor setup, you’re still marrying your person. If the cake melts and falls off the table, you’re still marrying your person. If a groomsman’s tux rips half way through portraits, you’re still marrying your person. Prioritize the emotions you want to be present on your wedding day, and guard those fiercely, my friends. Just like Natalie and Joseph did. It was an absolutely beautiful day!
