The Rosenthal family came down to Gatlinburg for a little weekend getaway. They are from Ohio and found me because I am shooting a coworker’s destination wedding in May! When we were initially trying to get the session booked, we kept missing each other. We literally took turns calling one another getting voicemails 3 times each. Finally, we just resorted to texting and obviously got everything squared away because, well… here are their edited photos. I had so much fun getting to know this sweet family a little better. It’s Tim, Amy, Karrington & Joel (if you know me, I’m terrible at names and am constantly “working on getting better” so I’m pretty proud I remembered all their names!). We ended up meeting at a little chapel in Pigeon Forge called Alpine Village Chapel. It’s a really great spot that is also a cabin rental community with views of the mountains. My favorite things about Alpine Village is that it has a variety of Smoky Mountain backdrops without a lot of people exploring in the background or having to drive an extra hour into the national park. There’s a great little walking trail that goes around the neighborhood as well and mountain views that are gorgeous. This is one of my go-to spots when families want to meet me in Pigeon Forge, and I found it because another couple having a destination wedding hired me to photograph their ceremony inside the Alpine Village Wedding Chapel. Still so thankful for that bride showing me this hidden gem! Anywho, I hope you enjoy scrolling through this family’s photos as much as I enjoyed taking them!
