Jackson Terminal Wedding || Heather & Ryland

An Elegant and Laid-Back Knoxville Wedding Celebration

Heather and Ryland’s associate Jackson Terminal wedding was the perfect combination of effortless elegance, genuine joy, and laid-back romance. When I say these two were the most go-with-the-flow couple, I truly mean it! Their wedding had the most beautiful, elevated atmosphere. Heather and Ryland approached every part of the experience with calm hearts and an easygoing attitude though. Perhaps sharing life with four fur babies and moving across the country teaches you to embrace the adventure!

Because Heather and Ryland lived out of town, we weren’t able to plan a traditional engagement session. Instead, they came into town the week before their wedding and stayed together in an Airbnb. What began as a truly wild Airbnb experience ended with the sweetest indoor engagement session. Associate photographer, Britt Cole, photographed the two of them alongside their four fur babies, somehow working her magic to capture beautiful images of the entire crew of six. Thankfully, Britt is both an animal lover and an animal whisperer! Wrangling four pets for portraits is no small task, but she did an AMAZING job.

Just a few days later, Britt was reunited with Heather and Ryland to photograph their associate Jackson Terminal wedding with Carly Crawford joining her as the second shooter. Together, Britt and Carly documented the sweetest celebration.

One decision that made the wedding day especially relaxed was Heather and Ryland’s choice not to have a traditional wedding party. Without a long list of wedding party portraits to complete, they had so much more time for bride and groom portraits. And my goodness, did Britt and Carly deliver! Every portrait feels romantic and true to the couple. I’m particularly obsessed with the images beside the black and white building and the dreamy blue-light sunset portraits on top of the bridge.

Heather and Ryland were an absolute joy to work with from beginning to end. They were easygoing, joyful, and genuinely giddy about becoming husband and wife. Their associate Jackson Terminal wedding was a beautiful beginning to married life and the perfect celebration before their next great adventure together in Virginia!
