A Spring 6 Month Session on Gibbs Drive
Archie’s Spring 6 month session was absolutely so adorable! This season can be a little unpredictable when it comes to blooms in East Tennessee, and this year was no exception. Many of the usual go-to spots like Knoxville Botanical Garden and UT Gardens already transitioned fully into green. But Gibbs Drive was still showing up in the best way.
While other locations already passed their peak, Gibbs Drive was just getting started. The trees were still blooming, the florals were vibrant, and everything had that soft, glowing spring feel Allison was hoping for when she envisioned this session. It ended up being the most perfect backdrop. Especially for a 6 month milestone.
And speaking of milestones, Archie is right in that sweet stage. He just started sitting independently, which opens up so many possibilities for variety in a session. With the low, ground-level flowers surrounding him, we created the dreamiest little scenes. They still felt playful and natural while highlighting how much he’s grown. He is as cute and sweet as can be, and his little personality is already starting to shine through in the best ways.
One of the things that made this session even more meaningful for me personally was the kindness of Alison and Mike throughout the planning process. We had originally scheduled their session to begin at 6:30. Later, I realized all three of my kids had a church performance that evening. Without hesitation, they graciously agreed to move their session earlier to 5:30 so I wouldn’t miss it. That kind of thoughtfulness is something I don’t take lightly. I was so grateful to be able to show up fully for both this sweet family and my own that night.
These are the kinds of clients that I’m talking about when I say I have the BEST clients.
Getting to document Archie’s first year is such an honor. I already know his Spring 6 month session is just one of many favorites to come. Next up is his 9 month session, and I truly cannot wait to see what new little milestones he’ll be showing off by then.
