The Webb Family Home

My first time working with the Webb family was this time last year. The day before their session, I woke up, and my voice was TOTALLY gone. Like just a squeak would come out every other word. So, for their session, when I posed and coached them through, I would come up close and whisper to them. I felt so bad, but they translated what I was saying so beautifully. When they asked me to come back to photograph them this year, I was honored. I must not have scarred them too bad with my broken voice last year if they were willing to have me back again to their Lenoir City home. I’m proud to say I did not lose my voice this time, and they could, in fact, understand everything I was saying from any distance I was saying it 😂

Since I came back to their Lenoir City home for their family photos this year, I started their session out asking if they cared if we used some of the same spots or if they wanted me to try to make it totally different this year. Their answer was an easy one. It was up to me and my artistic vision. So, I decided I did want a couple of the same spots. Some of my favorite spots. Spots worth shooting again but with different posing. Also spots you can compare and contrast over time to see how the kids grow and the family changes. But I wanted the rest of the session to have it’s own feel. Unique spots, unique posing. Cohesive, yet different than last year. The Webbs also communicated how much they loved the candid photos of the kids just being kids. I made a point to get lots of those. From last year to this year, I love each of our times together so much. This family is so photogenic. Their children are so precious and love each other so well. Even when little David was getting cold and was done taking photos, he would always sneak back into them in some playful way and be good to go again. You would never know it in these photos, but this day was a COLD day. The kiddos were such champs, and in between groupings and spots, they would all throw jackets and blankets around them to stay warm. Thankful we had sunshine on our side, and thankful they embraced this beautiful day with me.
