I remember designing my children’s nurseries and wanting to do something unique and different. For Grayson, we did a moose nursery. I had a white moose head mounted to his wall with a mountain mural behind it. We had moose stuffies and moose books and a moose blanket my mom sewed for him. It was so stinking adorable. For Hazel, we did a cactus theme. I painted a cactus mural, my mom sewed her a cactus pillow, and we had fake succulents all over her room. For Evelyn, I was running out of steam a little, and we did a rainbow theme. But not the traditional rainbow. We did a more boho rainbow vibe. With lots of marigold shades mixed with mauve tones. Needless to say, when I walked into Lilah’s dragon nursery, I was obsessed. First of all, dragons are so unique, but also a girl dragon nursery is just really stinking cute. Her mama hand painted the dragon picture above her crib. Various friends and family gifted all of the dragon stuffies you see around the room. There were dragon children’s books, too, that I’ve never even heard of. The whole thing was really quite perfect for baby Lilah.
I had the privilege of photographing this sweet family’s wedding back in March of 2023. It also had a theme that I absolutely loved. You can see more of it here if you want. If their nursery theme is dragons, what do you think their wedding theme was?
