UT Senior Session at the Engineering Building

Four years ago, I photographed Kate’s high school senior photos. Two years ago, I photographed her sister’s high school graduation photos. I remember asking Kate what she planned to major in and where she was going to college. Then, when I saw Emily a couple years later, I asked how Kate was doing. Now, the time has come to graduate again, and she has truly outdone herself. As you can tell by her highly decorated graduation gown, she is not only graduating with honors, but she’s proceeding into a graduate program where she will graduate with her Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering. Kate’s mom, Marea, joined us at her UT senior session, and we bonded over how proud she must be of her daughter. I imagine having a child so intelligent and achieve such high distinction at a difficult school with an even more difficult degree feels like you’re exploding with pride. Both Kate and her sister are becoming engineers, and it has been an honor to memorialize these key moments for them!
