An In-Home Christmas Newborn Session

Mila was supposed to come during the week between Christmas and the new year. I usually take that week totally and completely off, but I made an exception for Noel and David’s newborn session. When we touched base at the maternity session, however, Noel was already experiencing some major Braxton Hicks contractions and was on her feet working all day every day in the hospital. I think we were all on the same page that Mila was not going to be waiting until her due date. And she didn’t. She ended up coming before Christmas, which was perfect timing because Noel and David love Christmas. Having her before Christmas so they could enjoy Christmas with her in their arms was much preferred to going through Christmas waiting for Noel’s water to break at any time. So, we did a Christmas newborn session instead of the “no man land” session in that time between Christmas and the new year.

Mila did so good at her newborn session. She slept right through all the posing and swaddling and maneuvering. She snuggled up when it was time to be held and even let her big brother sniff around her for a few cute Mila + Auggie pictures. There were even some adorable smiles for a few pictures. So thankful for this sweet family and them welcoming me into their home.
