Knoxville Botanical Gardens Family Session
This session means the world to me because not only did I photograph Caroline and Christian’s wedding, but I also had the absolute privilege of photographing Ella’s newborn and 6 month photos. This is Caroline’s immediate family. They asked me to take photos of their whole family together, and it was so much fun. It’s not often that I get asked to photograph families with grown children. Somewhere along the way, I think something happens that the children stop changing as quickly, they get involved in ALL the extra curricular activities, and parents just don’t have a desire to document every year like they do when they’re little. On occasion, however, I get families like the Macraes that still value family photos (even with grown children), and they make it happen. It reminds me that I don’t ever want to give up my annual photos. Seriously. These moments are so fleeting and so worth preserving. No matter how stressful it is to prepare or how convincing you have to be to get the “big kids” involved in the photos, it’s worth every ounce because look at them. This family is so beautiful, and I particularly love the candid ones of them all smiling and laughing at each other because the joy on their faces is radiating. We did them at Knoxville Botanical Gardens, and it couldn’t have been a prettier day. Gorgeous light, sweet smiles, and the most love between them. I can’t thank them enough for trusting me with so many major moments in their lives and am thrilled to share these with them now!
