Volunteer Landing

Please tell me HOOOOOOW this sweet girl is already 9 months old?!?!?! Mom and dad were married the day before yesterday, her newborn pics were yesterday and her 6 month pictures were two hours before this session. Obviously I’m exaggerating, but seriously, that’s what it feels like. It is incredible getting to watch this little nugget grow into her adorable personality more and more every time I see her! Austin & Nikki drove baby Eylan up from Cleveland, TN for me to shoot her 9 month photos. Austin’s job includes a lot a lot a LOT of traveling so it was kind of difficult finding a day they could all make it. It took some moving around but I’m so glad we made it happen because let me tell ya how much this girl loves her daddy. And ultimately it worked out perfect because these happened the same week it rained for 5 days straight and we just happened to pick the one day it was sunny.

We were trying to avoid a muddy mess since it had rained so much this week so we decided to take pictures at Volunteer Landing. If you’ve never been… well… you’ve probably been. Calhouns is a main staple of Volunteer Landing. Along with a scenic view of Knoxville, the Tennessee River and Gay Street Bridge. It includes a pretty cool vintage train, one awesome green way, and a sort of splash pad that’s open in the summer. You can also access Billy Lush from Volunteer Landing and enjoy some water games… that is a personal favorite of mine in the summer! Anywho, I usually take the Rhoades family pictures at a park, so it was fun to switch it up this time and do a more urban setting! Hope you enjoy!
