WindRiver Wedding
Maureen contacted me a couple months ago about photographing her second wedding to the same man. As I type that, I know what most of you are thinking because I know how society labels this kind of thing. But you guys. Maureen and Doug have a beautiful love story written by none other than Jesus Himself. After having 4 children, these two got divorced. They proceeded to have 5 grand children when God started to redeem their relationship. Fast forward to February 10th and they took an oath in front of all of their friends and family to recommit their lives to one another. But this time was different. This time, as Maureen told me on the phone over our first hour long conversation, they were keeping Christ at the center. They know what it takes to have a healthy marriage because they’ve experienced what it was like to have an unhealthy marriage. They know now how to put themselves third in line, each other second and God first. The thing I loved most about this WindRiver wedding was the joy I found in every single heart that was there. Maureen & Doug were surrounded by friends and family that were so genuinely happy for them. It was a classically beautiful day, despite the rain, that will forever hold a sweet spot in everyone’s heart.
