I’ve watched other photographers post Ramble Creek Wedding photos and I’ve just ooh’d and aaah’d over them as I patiently waited for Mariah and Mitchell’s wedding to roll around. When it finally got here, I arrived an hour earlier than planned because I was so stinking excited to finally be getting to shoot my very own Ramble Creek Wedding. And guys, it really is as amazing as it looks in pictures. Both the bride and groom’s getting ready suites are incredible. This place has literally thought of everything. Including a little screen in the girl’s room to hide all their junk so it doesn’t show in pictures. It also has a nursery for children that are a part of the wedding (you can tell my life is changed because I wouldn’t have even noticed this before Grayson). There are endless areas around the main building for portraits, like, I didn’t even shoot at them all and I spent almost an hour with Mariah and Mitchell by themselves… on a golf cart. Oh yeah, they let you drive a golf cart around so getting from one amazing spot to the next is SO much quicker. I was told that they hired professional wedding photographers to come in and advise on where to put windows and what colors to make the walls and how to style it all before they built it and let me tell you how every single wedding venue should do this. If you’re having a Ramble Creek Wedding, go ahead and shoot me an email. I can already tell you that I am dying to shoot your wedding!
I LOVE this couple. I know what you’re thinking… I say that about every couple. But I really do mean it. Every couple I work with, I’ve spent time getting to know and develop a relationship with and at the end of the process I’m always a little sad that I won’t have an excuse to talk to them anymore. Mariah and Mitchell really are the real deal. I mean, obviously they are in love with one another, they did get married, but it goes so far beyond that to make a marriage fruitful. They serve one another, they put each others’ needs first, even if it means they are sacrificing something themselves. They know each other to their bones. They are honest with one another. They know one anothers’ faults and embrace them instead of try to change them. I cannot tell you how incredibly blessed and honored I am to have gotten to preserve this wedding for them forever. They both feel their feelings so intensely, and it really makes my heart burst with excitement when I think about them looking back on their wedding pictures and feeling those same feelings they felt on this day in December at Ramble Creek Vineyard. Oh the beauty of an image. How it invokes so much. And years from now, when they are looking at the images of the first time they locked eyes at opposite ends of the aisle, or when Mariah slid the ring on Mitchell’s finger, or when they threw their hands in the air and faced all the people who love them most, those feelings will be so much more rich. Because after years have passed, the memories they make and the life they live together, they will only grow to understand just how important the decision to get married was in the first place. How they just could not fathom living life with anyone else. This, my friends, is the real deal. We are squashing that divorce rate, one real deal at a time.
