Biltmore Estate

Donald and Abbey first found me by attending another wedding that I was shooting back in January. It wasn’t long after that wedding, that the sister of that Bride got engaged and I was able to photograph her proposal. Donald and Abbey also attended the proposal and Donald struck up a conversation with me about my Kelly Moore Bag. He started the conversation with telling me that he knew Kelly Moore. I was instantly jealous and completely intrigued. Obviously a guy (or any person that is) would not know anything about a Kelly Moore bag unless they had some connection to the photography industry. Well come to find out, Donald is the primary sports photographer for the University of Tennessee (His work is amazing by the way, so if you don’t follow Donald Page… you need to!). We talked about Kelly, we talked about UT Sports Photography, and he introduced me to Abbey, his girlfriend at the time. Little did I know that this girlfriend would soon become his fiancé and together, they would end up hiring me to photograph their wedding!

For anyone who knows anything about the AMP Wedding Experience, you know that I offer engagement sessions to my wedding couples for free. Not only is this a time that I get to learn them, but it’s also a time they get to learn how I work from behind the camera. This time is truly invaluable and makes the wedding day SO much more efficient when it comes time for the bride and groom romantic portraits. Well Abbey and Donald chose Biltmore Estate as their engagement location and it literally made my heart skip a beat. I’ve shot one other engagement session there and it goes down in time as one of my favorite engagement sessions EVER! Now I was getting the opportunity again?!?! How blessed I am (in so many ways beyond just this!). Throughout the session Abbey kept saying how this entire setup was totally them… their style, the era they love the most. And I have to say, they absolutely looked like they belonged in every square inch of this beautiful estate. I am so in love with these photos. Such a beautiful couple. Such a beautiful location.
