It was a last minute thing when Josh Weiss contacted me about updating the headshots at his law firm Cavett & Abbott, PLLC. Josh just made partner there (maybe transforming it into Cavett, Abbott & Weiss, PLLC??? we shall see!) and was already improving the firm’s website with updated headshots. I had the absolute honor of getting to know Josh and his wife Eden when I photographed their wedding back in November 2016. At that point, Josh owned his own law firm in Chattanooga and was doing so well. Just a few short months later, he is making partner with Cavett and Abbott, and at such a young age. I cannot tell you how impressive that is! The first thing he lines up with the team is a photo session so they can update their website. I’m sure the other partners were so thrilled to have their pictures taken [insert sarcasm] and on a Saturday afternoon none-the-less, but they did it anyway and I have to say, they were pretty good at it. If they were dreading it, I could not tell. I met them at their office in the heart of downtown Chattanooga where we did some inside and then stepped out into a great little alleyway. We also got some with the Chattanooga skyline in the background. We all four decided at the end of this session that next time we were going to incorporate some motorcycles, dogs, and boats into the mix to show their current and potential clients that they are real people just like everyone else. Marketing is so multi-dimensional, I think this is the perfect way to show Chattanooga locals that not all lawyers fit in the stereotype and however serious they are in the courtroom, they have a fun side too.
