My Favorite Weddings from 2022
How appropriate is it for my 2022 Wedding Favorites to fall on Valentine’s Day? It’s like I planned it that way! Of the 30 big, full size weddings I shot this year, there was only one that was a reschedule from the 2020 chaos. That means I booked 29 full size weddings JUST in 2022. That is a lot. That does not include weddings less than 8 hours. That does not include elopements or courthouse weddings or microweddings. Amanda May Photos was busy in 2022 and getting to serve my amazing clients was the best way to be busy! You know what I love more than anything about these couples I’ve gotten to serve? Their hearts. Not a single one of them made me feel like an inconvenience when I decided not to shoot engagement sessions on weekends anymore so I could actually have one full day off a week to spend with my family. On weekends I had double or triple headers or a vacation to follow, not a single one of them made me feel guilty for not having their blog post ready while I was on vacation. They have all cheered me on, encouraged me, come to my cookouts, participated in my social media polls, and responded quickly to emails and texts. They are incredible people, and when others ask me what horror stories I have about bridezillas, I can genuinely answer that I don’t have any. They are typically surprised because how could I not in this kind of industry? I’m telling you guys, I don’t have, nor have I ever had, any bridezillas. They are just normal, great, awesome people I get to build a relationship with and serve on their absolute most favorite day. I just feel so so so blessed to have this as my career.
Also, there needs to be a disclaimer here. I try to export 10-15 favorites from each wedding at the end of my editing workflow, however, sometimes I forget. If I photographed a wedding for you in 2022, and you don’t see your images below, likely, I just forgot the last step. Please don’t take it personally. I absolutely have favorites from every single wedding. Just sometimes the list is too long, the plate it too full, and my brain fails me!
