My Favorite Portraits from 2022
Every year, I make a post of my favorite images throughout the past year. Ideally, I like to do this RIGHT at the new year. This year, however, I was still trying to catch up from a busy fall, and now, it’s February. I’m shamelessly doing it anyway though.
As you probably know, my primary focus in Amanda May Photos is wedding photography. It consumes most of my year, but what happens when the wedding is over? The preview party is done? The album is delivered? Well, portraits happen. Almost all of my portrait clients in 2022 were also AMP wedding couples. I let them have first available times on my calendar, and if there is any space left over, that’s where I pull in new families. Typically, unless a new family is really planning 3-4 months in advance, I won’t have availability to serve them. Where are all my Type A planners out there? Ha! I know, I know. It’s annoying. It is what it is, and I always want to prioritize my AMP couples though!
So for the most part, all the peeps you see here are past wedding clients, and I love them dearly. I’ve watched as they grow their families, celebrate anniversaries, and ask me to come alongside them to document it all!
Also, there needs to be a disclaimer here. I try to export 3-5 favorites from each portrait session at the end of my editing workflow. Sometimes, however, I forget. If you’ve had a portrait session with me in 2022 and don’t see your images below, likely, I just forgot the last step. Please don’t take it personally. I absolutely have favorites from every single session, but sometimes the list is too long, the plate it too full, and my brain fails me!
