There are some weddings where you can feel the depth of the day without ever stepping foot into it, and this Marblegate Farm associate wedding for Ellie and Max is exactly that.
Ellie and Max made the decision during their planning process: instead of scheduling an engagement session, they chose to exchange it for an additional hour of wedding day coverage. It’s a choice that allowed their timeline to breathe a little more and gave my associate photographer, Brittany Conner, the space to fully document every part of their celebration. While I had the joy of walking alongside Ellie throughout the planning process—helping build her timeline and preparing her for what the day would hold—Brittany’s first time meeting Ellie and Max wasn’t until the wedding day itself.
And honestly, you would never know.
From the very first images, it was clear that Brittany and Tasha (the second shooter for the day) were the perfect fit to serve this couple. There was an ease, a trust, and a natural connection that came through so effortlessly in every frame. One of the most powerful parts of this day was seeing Ellie and Max worship together.
From Max praying over their meal before dinner to the energy that completely took over the dance floor, this was a celebration in every sense of the word. And when I say they danced the entire time, I mean it. The kind of dance floor where no one wants to leave, where the music keeps going (shout out to DJ Sammy), and where every photo feels alive.
As someone who wasn’t physically present, it’s hard to put into words just how special it is to feel a wedding day so deeply through imagery alone. Brittany and Tasha didn’t just document what the day looked like, they captured what it felt like. The emotions, the energy, the connection, it’s all there.
The only downside was not being there myself to witness it unfold in real time.
But at the same time, it’s incredibly meaningful to see how beautifully my associate team serves our couples. Ellie and Max’s day is the perfect example of what an Amanda May Photos associate experience can be. Intentional, connected, and filled with moments you can relive for years to come.
