If you want peak color in the fall at Castleton Farms, we can make an estimated guess of when you could have your wedding, but it will always just be a guess. There are so many things that factor in to when we reach peak color. Things like how much rain we get, how many storms we have, how quickly it gets cold. This year, the sweetest couple in the whole wide world got peak fall at Castleton Farms for their wedding day.
On my way to Emmy and Lucas’s wedding day, I was saying a quick prayer like I always do. I kept coming back to praying that they just feel the presence of Jesus there with them. Peace beyond anything they could explain. Joy overflowing and the least amount of stress possible. One of the first things Emmy said to me when I got there was “look at this sunrise we saw this morning *pulls it up on her phone to show me the most stunning sunrise lifting right over her ceremony site*. It’s like Jesus smiling down at our ceremony site.” And just like that, literally saw my prayer answered. She proceeded to tell me she’s so glad the planning is over and the day is here. That it didn’t matter what happened today, it didn’t matter because she was finally marrying Lucas. Another prayer literally answered. It doesn’t always work this obviously to me, but I’m just really thankful that Emmy is an actual open book with her thoughts and shared this really precious conversation with me right at the very beginning of my day with her.
These two humans are absolutely gems. I adore them so much and their love is so vibrantly real. There is no denying they are obsessed with one another in the best ways possible. There is no better definition for “being someone’s person” than Emmy to Lucas and Lucas to Emmy. They are the calm to each other’s storm. The joy in the hard. It was an absolute joy watching them commit to forever together.
