Biltmore Estate Engagement Session

I met Sasha and Dillon at Biltmore Estate for their engagement session, and we had the best time. The thing I love about Sasha is she knows exactly what she wants. Before their session, Sasha sent me screenshots of different locations she wanted at Biltmore. There were specific shots, specific backdrops, and even a specific shooting style she could narrow down as her favorite. She asked me to shoot more wide shots showing lots of the landscaping and architecture of Biltmore Estate. She also knows she doesn’t love the super warm light that happens just at sunset. She likes the more bright, overexposed light that comes from the sun being a little higher in the sky. And towards the end of our session, she knew she wanted a photo sitting in a tree. We started walking around Biltmore Estate’s property looking for a tree that this would work for, and we ended up finding one! I love that Sasha knew exactly what she wanted and communicated that with me. I am BIG on setting the correct expectations. If you want a specific outcome but don’t communicate that, you will always be disappointed when it doesn’t turn out the way you want. But when you communicate with the people involved, everyone can work together to make that outcome happen, and then you’re always going to be pleased. Sasha wanted a specific outcome from our time together at Biltmore Estate, and she communicated to me all those desires. Together, we worked so hard to make it happen, and I think we did it!!
