I have so much I could share about this massive Cherokee Country Club wedding day. Things you would drop your jaw at like having 28 wedding party members. 17 of them being groomsmen. Or the fact that Leighton and Cole have been together since 7th grade. That they had 450 guests and still managed to find an air conditioned venue. Or the most hilarious toast I’ve ever heard from Cole’s dad at the rehearsal dinner. Or that the bride and groom literally got thrown into the air on the dance floor with just hands under them. Yes, there are pictures below. All of that pales in comparison to the love and genuine relationships present on their wedding day. I’m certain there’s a part of you that assumes a 450 person wedding means there are a lot of people there that are just “fluffer.” Like you did a mass invite to your church, but you don’t really know or have relationships with the people. But that was not the case for Leighton and Cole. As I watched them mix and mingle and as I watched their parents socialize, I quickly realized that 99.9% of the people there had a very real relationship with Leighton and Cole. Whether it was friends from school, mentors from church, family friends, or actual family. They each had their own history with the couple, and it was precious how much they all individually cared for them. There were no “fluffers” there, and I can prove it to you by how many people stayed until their 11:30pm exit. Guys. That’s a late exit time. Usually at that point in the evening, we are working with about 10% of guests left. But not at this massive Cherokee Country Club wedding. There were probably still 70% of the guests left to hold sparklers. I was amazed. These two are loved so much by so many people!
