Leslie and Mark were supposed to get married at The Square Room in Market Square, which is a really cool space in the back of Café 4. About a week before the wedding, Spaces in the City (who own both The Square Room and The Press Room) reached out to Leslie to see if she wanted to switch venues to The Press Room. Leslie called me and asked my opinion. She hadn’t seen The Press Room in person and didn’t know if it offered as many photo ops or how it would suit her wedding. As soon as she asked my advice, I told her she absolutely should do it. The Square Room is awesome, but it has no windows, which means no natural light. As far as hosting a wedding, The Press Room was built for it…literally. So, she changed her venue location a week before her wedding to be at The Press Room, and I think after she sees her sneak peek gallery, she’s going to be pretty excited with how her images turned out!
Leslie and Mark are adorable together. Leslie’s children were the maid of honor and best man. They both helped Leslie and Mark get ready, stood at the ceremony with them, and kept the dance floor going with their friends all night long. Their family is beautiful, and seeing the way Leslie and Mark light up when they see each other is magical.
This wedding day was a little bit different compared to most this season. It wasn’t my normal super long day. I didn’t have two shooters. It wasn’t chaotic with a million things unfolding at once. It was just simple. I didn’t get there until 4, and I was able just to capture the couple doing their thing documenting the joy shining through on their wedding day. I got a little over an hour with them for portraits, and we got to walk to some of my favorite spots around The Press Room. I am so happy with how these images turned out, and I’m excited to be back at The Press Room next month!
