Home Bridal Session with Erin Longo

I photographed Erin’s home bridal session at the home she grew up in. She got married at Castleton Farms, and most of my Castleton brides want to do their bridal portraits at Castleton. When Erin decided to do it at her childhood home, I knew it had to be special, and it sure was. As I pulled into their West Knoxville neighborhood and saw the incredible landscaping and beautiful houses, I still could not anticipate how perfect her family home would be. It. was. gorgeous.

While prepping for her home bridal session, Erin reached out to me and told me she had totally forgotten to arrange for a bouquet in the midst of all the COVID stuff, finally getting to travel in from California, and prepping for her bridal showers. I’ve shot bridal sessions with no bouquet before, which is definitely not a bad thing, but I know brides like to have something to hold in their hands. So, I offered to stop by Trader Joe’s for some stems to throw together a bouquet for her. Well, turns out Trader Joe’s was very strict at the time, and there was a line wrapped around the building to get in. Waiting in that line would definitely have put me WAY later than I planned to be there with the sun going further down every minute so I called Erin. We decided to just use what we could around the landscaping at her parents’ house, and it turns out there was a lot to work with! She ended up using the bouquet in almost all the photos! It made me so happy that I could help with that little detail, and her parents had such gorgeous landscaping to provide enough for a small bouquet. It was even in her colors!
