Melton Hill Park Family Session

Tristan and Brandon Blair are from North Carolina, but they have lived in Rutledge, TN for a little over a year now. Brandon is a pastor, Tristan is a photographer, and they have three really pretty kiddos named Southern, Willow, and Gunner. I met up with them last week for their Melton Hill Park family session. Despite what you may think when you look at these photos, Southern and Willow are not twins! All three kids are 2 years apart, and Tristan homeschools them. I have to give Tristan and Brandon some props on their parenting game. These three kids are right at the ages where they start to really really hate having their photo taken. It’s usually like pulling teeth to get them to stand where I need them to, much less do it with a pretty smile on their face. Typically, family sessions with kids this age end up being a lot more candid because that’s the only way I can get the child smiling their real smile. But not these three. They were so respectful, so well-behaved, and understood how important this was to Tristan…and Brandon :-). I’m sure it helps that Tristan is probably always photographing them with her own camera, but still…it really impressed me. It makes my heart so happy when I work with families like this. It leaves me with some hope that it is possible to still raise children to have a sweet, kind demeanor.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy looking through this Melton Hill Park family session! It is one of my favorite locations to shoot in Knoxville. Even though it is a 40 minute drive from my house. So worth it! Plus, this family is one gorgeous family!
