I think this may have been the happiest 1 year studio session that I’ve ever photographed. He literally came in the door smiling, loved my camera, was super social, and is adorable!!!
My studio sessions have changed a little bit. Now that we are expecting baby #2, we’ve had to turn our guest room into a nursery. That room used to house the bed that I took a LOT of portraits on. Crazy enough…just before this 1 year studio session, my sister-in-law bought the house next to ours. We literally share a driveway, and it’s awesome. She repainted the entire house white. White walls, white windows, white trim, white ceilings. The only thing not white are the hardwoods. She has two spare rooms and is going to transition into “the home where family stays” when they come in town. So, we offered up our guest room furniture, which happens to be white on white, for the time being. I made her a deal though. I still get to use it for sessions. Thankfully, she has been so gracious to let me and my clients into her home for shooting because holy moly, isn’t this lighting incredible? I love it even more than when it was at my house. I’ve done two sessions so far, a branding session and 1 year studio session, and have another one coming up this weekend. I’m super thankful she is letting me come in there because it has become my new favorite studio backdrop!
