Lighthouse Knoxville Wedding

This was my first wedding at Lighthouse Knoxville. The drive in leads you to face a gorgeous horse farm, which became the backdrop for most of the photos. Not only was it gorgeous, but it was also the direction of sunset, which meant it would be in the background for best lighting. It definitely did not disappoint. One of the perks of event space is this beautiful backdrop, but here’s another that might be a bigger game changer to brides on the hunt for a venue. Jacque the coordinator. She went above and beyond the whole evening. Not only for the bride and groom, but also for the guests and the vendors. I work at a LOT of different venues with a LOT of different venue owners and she may have been one of the best based on the way she treated the vendors. All I can think about is if she treated us that well at the reception, the bride and groom must have been treated like kings and queens throughout the whole process!

I loved Ashley and Andrew’s Lighthouse Knoxville wedding. It was so gorgeous. The second photographer and I kept talking all day about how it was so creamy. The lighting was so creamy. The accents were creamy. The backdrops were creamy. Just in case you don’t know, creamy = amazing. Going into this wedding day involved a lot of traveling all over the place. We started at the bride’s house for getting ready and drove to the church for getting dressed + first looks + a few portraits. Then, we drove 30 minutes to the venue for the rest of the portraits, back to the church for the ceremony, and back to the Lighthouse Knoxville for the reception. The only issue with this is that driving times can vary. You never know if you’re going to hit traffic or get lost. I was a little concerned about it. The AMAZING part is that not only did we have no issues, but we had ample time to even sit down and eat a lunch before the ceremony (courtesy of Brenda, mother-of-the-bride, and I still cannot thank her enough for this). Can I tell you how nice this is and how it has literally NEVER happened in the history of Amanda May Photos? Just in case any of my future brides look at this, it was amazing and meant time spent with the bridal party eating and relaxing before the ceremony. You may want to consider this because it was seriously awesome!

Anyway, all the lovey dovey things apply too because these two had different smiles when they looked at each other. It was adorable, and when they exchanged cards during their first look, I may or may not have gotten just as emotional as they did. ha. Can I blame that on pregnancy? I think so. Let’s go with that ;-).
