Meads Quarry Engagement Session

I have this gallery wrap hanging in my office that is a 20×30. It’s the sample print that I give to inquiring brides when they book with me within 24 hours. That print is from Ty and Taylor’s wedding that I shot a few years ago. It was one of my favorite weddings, and I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I chose their photo to be my sample. Over half of the inquiring brides that walk into my office look at that sample and immediately say, “Hey, I know them.” I’m not sure if they even realize how famous they are. Ha. Well, now, I have the opportunity to shoot Taylor’s brother’s wedding as he marries Marena! She also works at Hope Resource Center along with another one of my past brides, Kendall. Before Thanksgiving, we met up to take Marena and Jonathan’s Meads Quarry engagement session. Both of them have the most amazing happy faces. There are people who smile, and then, there are people who smile with their whole face. I am one of the people who smile with their whole face. So is Grayson, and so are these two. I told Marena this during our Meads Quarry engagement session, too, but I LOVE how her eyes completely disappear when she smiles. It’s like her smile is SO big that her eyes just can’t stay open. Dustin’s and Grayson’s smiles are also like this…maybe that’s why I love it so much. With Jonathan, it’s something in his brow line that smiles. I’m sure you guys think I’m totally creepy for over analyzing a smile, but I just love them. I’m drawn to them. I am fueled by them. When I’m in an awkward situation, I smile to make it better. Makes you wonder why I became a photographer, huh?

Beyond their physical features though, these two are incredible people. They love Jesus first and each other second. That’s how I know they are going to have an amazing marriage. I had so much fun with them at their Meads Quarry engagement session and cannot wait for their wedding on June 22, 2019, which also happens to be Dustin’s and my 6th wedding anniversary :-). Such a great day. Another reason they are going to have an awesome marriage…jk. jk. But that really is a great day.
