6 Month Session at Knoxville Botanical Gardens

You guys. Look at this little girl’s cheese grin! Seriously! I’m dying over here. We got together for her little brother’s 6 month session, but I added an extra 30 minutes onto their time because I couldn’t help but spend some extra time collecting memories of this big ole’ smile. I’m going to get to Cooper’s 6 month session soon, but hear me out. My parents used to tell me all the time about this special smile that I would do. Now, my parents were divorced when I was one and have two different memories of this smile. My dad would always say it was your sunshine smile. My mom would always say it was your smiley face smile. But either way, I did this, too. My nose scrunched up, my eyes basically closed I was smiling so big, I tried to show ALL of my teeth at once, and I would just beam up at the person who asked for my smiley face/sunshine smile. My memory of this facial expression solely exists because of pictures and my parents reminiscing. I can tell with the looks on their faces and tone of their voices that this was one of their most favorite things I did as a kid. That’s why I have a soft spot for these grins.

I have a feeling that this little boy will have that big grin, too. Cooper was the smiliest baby ever at his 6 month session. He was so stinking sweet and so cute, and I’m already counting down the days until I get to hang out with this family again in less than 3 months! Have I mentioned to you how much I love when families book my “baby’s first year package?” I’m guaranteed to get to watch this sweet angel baby grow from infancy to 1 year old! A mystery that is only explained by God Himself because wow… all the things that happen in that first year are INSANE!
