Knoxville Gardens Engagement

The weirdest thing happened at this Knoxville Gardens Engagement Session. We were shooting along the gravel road that cuts right through the middle of the gardens, and these two teenagers were walking through throwing rocks. I didn’t think that much about it when they were more than 50 yards away from us. In the back of my head, I thought well of course they’ll stop as they get closer to us, but they kept getting closer and kept throwing rocks. Now the rocks were landing on either side of me over and over and over, then I’d hear them laugh a little. So, I stopped shooting, looked at them, and said, “Can you please stop throwing rocks until you get passed me?” Neither of them acknowledge me at all and continue throwing while I awkwardly just stare at them. When they are less than 5 feet from me, one of the girls said, “What did you say??” I repeated myself, and she said, “Well, if I waited until I was passed you, then I would hit you,”…confused, I just let it go and turned back to find Hannah & Matt who were also super confused. Hannah then uses a quote that she’s used multiple times throughout her work with children… “Where are their parents??” She tells me hilarious story after hilarious story of the kids she works with doing ridiculous things that make her immediately think, “WHERE ARE YOUR PARENTS???” But regardless of the crazy teens that wanted to test how close they could get to hitting me with a rock without actually hitting me with a rock, we had a fabulous time taking Hannah & Matt’s Knoxville Gardens Engagement session. There was gorgeous lighting, beautiful bloomed flowers, and the most adorable, snuggliest couple ever. When I told Matt he was going to have to endure a lot of girly words like cuddle and snuggle and nuzzle he said, “That’s fine…I’m good at it…I grew up with a house full of girls.” And sure enough, he was a pro. I cannot wait until their wedding day!
