6 Months OLD!!!!!
I made a connection with Ann in a really hilarious way that I just have to share. Ann was a bridesmaid in one of my September 2017 weddings. I arrived to the wedding before the girls started getting hair and makeup done and introduced myself to everyone. This group of girls was one of my favorites. There were 8 of them and although they didn’t all know each other before the wedding, you could never tell because they acted like besties. Anyway, later in the morning I walk in to find Ann pumping in the getting ready suite. At some point she saw my pump bag sitting in the room with all the other hundreds of bags I bring in on a wedding day, and we just looked at each other in appreciation because we both know how hard it is. So anywho, I pumped on that wedding day and stored my milk in the fridge, as did Ann. Later on in the reception we bonded over dancing carefree with no baby in hand and cheers’d to letting the grandparents/husbands take over for a night. And when it ended, I went to the fridge, grabbed my little milk cooler, and headed home. I realized, after I got home, that I left a bottle of milk in the fridge and if any of you have ever breastfed, you know how valuable pumped milk is. So I started emailing frantically making sure they didn’t pour it down the drain. Come to find out, Ann and I used the same exact pump with the same bottles and so it actually went home with her. I ended up getting it back, but at that point she had already poured it into a freezer bag for Pryor and we decided we were bonded for life. We later went on a long walk together, chatting about motherhood and raising a baby, texted a lot back and forth, and now her sweet newborn is 6 months old and I can’t believe it.
