I have become slightly obsessed with this WindRiver Wedding. I got to meet the ladies that run the show back in January at their vendor event. They were all so incredibly nice and their venue was so incredibly beautiful. It got me so excited about getting to shoot a WindRiver wedding, but nothing… nothing could have prepared me for the awesomeness that was Sean and Christine’s wedding. First off, lets talk about the getting ready areas. Bride’s get the master suite. It comes fully stocked with amazing lighting, perfect areas for hair and makeup, hanging space for all dresses, and so much more. The guys are in the basement, which is a total man cave. Complete with leather sofas and recliners, a GIGANTIC tv, a bar, an outdoor patio, and fire pit access. WindRiver has a restaurant on site that caters the whole day for each WindRiver wedding, starting with breakfast and coffee in their respective getting ready areas. Followed by brunch, lunch, and an afternoon snack. Each and every meal looked phenomenal and although I didn’t taste them myself, I know the bridal party was definitely impressed. Now lets talk about their portrait locations. I literally had to narrow down which ones I wanted to take the couple to because there were too many good ones. Their views alone provide three totally different backdrops. But you know what makes a venue go from just being beautiful to really being great? The people. And let me tell ya, this staff is on point. I couldn’t recommend this place more, it is the full package.
Sean and Christine literally blew me away at their engagement session. We went to the Biltmore Estate one fall evening and spent our afternoon taking pictures around the grounds. When I left that session, I was itching to get home as quickly as I could to look at them, because I knew they were awesome. After those images were complete, I was itching to get to the wedding because again, I knew it would be awesome. And it was. These two. Where do I even begin??? Sean and Christine are pretty incredible people. They just have the kindest hearts and are so so so in love. They are also so so so photogenic. Every single thing about their wedding gave me the feels… and I am completely in love with their images.
Favorite part of the day. This doesn’t happen super frequently, but my favorite part of the day was actually in their ceremony. And what makes this even more intriguing, is it was a conservative catholic ceremony at the church. Sean and Christine’s priest was absolutely hilarious. Honestly, as I am writing this at 11:30 pm I cannot think of any quotes off the top of my head, but I remember laughing regularly throughout the entire service. And then when the ceremony was over, we started family photos… where I always take a photo of the couple with the officiant to kick us off. So they posed and smiled and I got my formal one. Then he threw both of his arms around their shoulders, gave me a thumbs up, cheesed really big and said now get this one. After I got the shot, he looked at Sean and Christine and said “Email me that one, I don’t want the others, but this one is going on my fridge”. I am already a christian, but if I weren’t, he would make me want to learn more about it. I mean, at the end of his sermon I looked at my second photographer and said I would love to sit down and have a conversation about christianity with this guy. So catch the “thumbs up” photo below and enjoy scrolling through all the gorgeousness. In case your wondering what church they got married at, you can scroll to the bottom and see all their vendors… maybe catch a Sunday morning with their priest.
