This Hunter Valley Farm wedding was gorgeous. There are two things that I love about it especially. 1) They have horses wondering the grounds throughout any wedding day. At sunset, they have this gorgeous fence line keeping horses in their homes and the the sun is setting directly behind them. It is stunning. 2) Their ceremony site is so so beautiful. It’s almost entirely shaded with gorgeous turf that keeps green year round. They use a combination of bamboo back chairs and church pews for guests to sit in. This is one of my favorite combos out there! It really is a stunning venue!
One of my favorite parts from Chasity and Rodney’s wedding day involved the first look. Okay actually there are two things… both involving the first look. The first one is after they saw each other for the first time, Chasity turned around to see that Rodney had surprised her with an appearance from their two dogs. The dog sitters brought them over and both pups went crazy licking all over sweet Chasity. It was such a cool moment because it was kind of like she got two first looks. The second thing was right after the first look when we started taking portraits. Hunter Valley offers so many awesome spots for portraits and as we are making our rounds, we find a horse hanging out along the fence line and I decide to use him as a prop. So I bring the couple over and pose them where I need them in order to get the horse in the background. In the mean time the horse is reaching its neck over the fence and making little horsey sounds… he was playing along. So I go to back up and get the shot and I notice that the horse has turned around and is not mooning us. So I make little horsey sounds trying to get it to turn around when it lifts its tail and takes a huge dump. It was hilarious. After he finishes he turns around and smiles beautifully and we got some pretty cool horse pictures!
