There is nothing I love more than a good garden and Knoxville Botanical Gardens has so many to choose from. Seriously though. I’ve photographed so many sessions here this year and every time I can make each one look different and unique. This is a section of the gardens I didn’t even know about until another fellow photographer told me about it (shout out to Matthew Davidson Photography), and it is also so gorgeous. Look at these flowers!! It was seriously the perfect spot to document this little girl turning two!
It seems like yesterday I was taking pictures of this girl sitting in the grass at Cherokee Park playing with the bow in her hair and still months away from turning 1. Now she’s running around all over the place, talks, and is turning two!! People say that time flies even faster after you have kids and, oh my goodness, I believe that now more than ever. Addie is seriously adorable with her strawberry blonde hair and bright blue eyes. But who I really want to talk about in this post is her mama. This woman is so strong. so brave. I photographed Hope Resource Center’s fundraising gala back in the spring of this year where Briana spoke. I learned a little bit more about her story and her courage is incredible. When she found out she was pregnant right before starting nursing school, Addie’s daddy decided he didn’t want to be a daddy, and Briana worked her tail off to not only be an amazing mama but also finish nursing school. All with the help of Hope Resource Center… an amazing nonprofit in Knoxville that helps men and women with unplanned pregnancies. I will forever advocate for Briana and all the other moms that choose life even when it’s the hardest possible route to choose. Thank you so much Briana for letting me document this phase of your’s and Addie’s life. You guys are just too much cuteness for me to put into words!
