Douglas Lake
KC and Tyler chose some pretty amazing locations for their engagement session. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, my FAVORITE places to shoot are the places that are totally unique to my couples. In this case, we went to KC’s family’s lake house on Douglas Lake. It was gorgeous. Their landscaping from the house to the water was really flawless. Then just a few miles down the road was downtown Dandridge. An amazingly cute downtown. Then we went to KC’s parents house… again, just a few miles down the road, and finished off at KC’s parents’ cattle farm. I really could have spent an entire engagement session at any one of these places, so I set timers on my watch to remind myself to leave so that we didn’t run out of sunlight. They were all so beautiful!
The Couple
I love this couple. They are so full of life and joy and love. SO much love. They met back in 2014 at a dinner that two mutual friends put together. They instantly hit it off and when it came time to part ways that night, Tyler got super nervous, did a ballerina twirl, and then asked for her number. That’s right.. you read it correctly… a ballerina twirl. That was when Tyler first started making KC laugh and I don’t think he’s stopped since then. Throughout their engagement session I did fun little things where I have one whisper into the ear of the other. I give them prompts that will provoke genuine laughter. Tyler blew every single one of these whispers out of the water. You’ll notice KC’s amazing smile shining bright in most of the pictures below because he had her. cracking. up. They are absolutely so adorable and absolutely so perfect together.
